A bus belonging to Jim van Tonder School in Bethal, was stolen at around 02:00 this morning at a school in Secunda.
According to information, the driver of the bus lives in Secunda and Jim van Tonder School has an arrangement with one of the schools in Secunda to leave the bus at the school at night so that the driver can begin with the Secunda route at 06:00 every morning.
He allegedly discovered the bus was missing when he went to the school in Secunda where the bus is kept to begin with his route.
The area where the bus is left overnight at the school in Secunda is a secure area and there is a security guard at the gate.
Jim van Tonder School’s management team informed Secunda Police as well as border control to be on the lookout for the bus.
The bus is marked with stickers that reads ‘oppibult Plaasjuppie Jim van Tonderskool – Bethal’.
The registration number of the bus is FCF 629 MP.
