
The police opened a rape and robbery case after a 23-year-old woman was gang-raped at Sijongile Ndamase Community Hall on Saturday night, April 30.
According to police, the victim was walking home from a tavern near the hall when five men stopped her in the passage between the municipal offices and the Sasol hostels.
They demanded her cellphone and money.
The suspects then dragged her to the hall and raped her.
No one has yet been arrested.
The police are searching for the suspects.
