Dead woman found at taxi rank in Standerton

When the newspaper drove past, the body was covered with a blanker and Standerton Police were on the scene.

The body of a woman was discovered at the Standerton Taxi Rank on Monday, May 9.

According to Lourens Uys from Kasselman Security Services, he was alerted early the morning.

A woman at the taxi rank, who wished to stay anonymous, said to the Standerton Advertiser that an ambulance was called in the early hours of the morning.

According to her, the deceased was seen undressing outside at one stage and she tried to put her clothes on again.

When the newspaper drove past, the body was covered with a blanket and Standerton Police were on the scene.

The Standerton Advertiser contacted Capt Gibi Mtshweni, communications officer, on Tuesday, May 10 to enquire whether the woman has been identified as yet.
