Sasol cares about child protection

Several organisations receive toys and books.

Sasol handed over office furniture and toys to the court in Evander and donated and handed over toys to 13 early childhood development centres in Kinross on Tuesday, May 31.

The handover event took place at the court in Evander and representatives from Sasol, the childhood development centres, the police, other organisations and the Department of Social Development and the Department of Justice attended the event.

Mashudu Ndou, Sasol’s vice president for Corporate and Community Affairs, said it is important to observe Child Protection Week as a community.

“Many children are murdered and abused by neighbours so we as neighbours are not protecting them enough,” said Ndou.

“When children are coming to court, they are vulnerable already, let us make sure we protect our children.

“They say it takes a village to raise children, well, we are the village and we should protect our children and not endanger them.”
