Women paint and mingle for a good cause in Trichardt

Regis, a well-known artist in the area, presented the painting class.

Local artist, Regis, had his work cut out in coaching dozens of women to paint a landscape portrait while they mingled and sipped on cocktails on Friday night, May 27.

The Secunda Round Table 231 hosted this paint and cocktails evening in Trichardt to raise money for charities, such as the Janelle Huis.

The men of this organisation played the role of waiters that evening while their wives or girlfriends were the hostesses and also joined in the painting.

Regis, a well-known artist in the area, presented the painting class.

While some women enjoyed the cocktails, pizza and the chatter of the other women at their tables, others were more focussed on the canvas.

Everyone, immaterial of their level of artistic talent, enjoyed the event and took their own little masterpiece, a landscape of cosmos flowers and mountains, home.
