eMbalenhle cops investigate murders

The deceased was allegedly useful to police investigations regarding all criminal activities that involve the Lesotho nationals in eMbalenhle.

Police arrested a group of Lesotho nationals in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old man in Ext 16, known as Mandela Section, in eMbalenhle on Friday, June 24.

According to Const Busi Mthethwa, eMbalenhle Police spokesperson, the police found the dead man (also a Lesotho national) in the street with a bullet wound in his head. He was bleeding from his ears and nose.

Mthethwa said the police arrested the group of Lesotho nationals in connection with murder.

The deceased was allegedly useful to police investigations regarding all criminal activities that involve the Lesotho nationals in eMbalenhle.

Mthethwa said the police have opened a murder case and anyone with information can contact Capt Chris Venter on 082 499 4387.

eMbalenhle Police are also searching for three murder suspects after a 25-year-old man’s body was found on the side of the road next to a tavern at Ext 20, eMbalenhle.

According to Mthethwa, the deceased was found with three stab wounds in his chest.

Mthethwa said they have opened a murder case and no arrests have yet been made.
