UPDATE: Mayor of Lekwa meets with the dissatisfied residents

The executive mayor, Louis Delani Thabethe, spoke to the group of dissatisfied residents.

Police were closely monitoring the situation in Mbonani Mayisela Street today at 11:00am.

Between shouts of ’amandla’ and ‘awethu,’ the message of lack of service delivery was emphasised.

The traffic department was also on the scene.

Police officers stood guard in front of the main entrance of the Lekwa Municipality.
