The Community Policing Forum (CPF) took hands with the police and other stakeholders to improve and uplift Trichardt.

The CPF will be hosting a mass meeting on Wednesday, August 10 at 18:00 at Laerskool Trichardt.

They aim to have as many people as possible present at this meeting.

The chairman of the CPF, Clarke van der Walt, said if people want to improve the town, they must get involved and take action.

He urged the community of Trichardt to attend this meeting and said he also invited the electricians of Govan Mbeki Municipality, traffic officials and by-law officials.

The CPF, together with other stakeholders and businesses are planning on launching projects to repair street lights in Trichardt and also cut trees.

The CPF also began patrolling the streets of Trichardt again at night and since the patrols began, no house burglaries have been reported at the police station on the nights of the patrols.
