Man (30) dies in accident on road between Evander and Secunda

“The two moderately injured patients were treated and transported to Mediclinic Highveld for further care.”

A 30-year-old man has died and two other men have suffered moderate injuries after losing control of their vehicle and rolling into a ditch on the side of the R580 between Evander and Secunda on Saturday night, July 23.

According to Ross Campbell, spokesman for ER24, their paramedics were first on the scene at 23:23.

“They found a man in his late 20s, about 15 meters from the vehicle, having been ejected.

“He had luckily sustained only moderately injured.

“The 32-year-old driver was still inside the vehicle along with a 30-year-old passenger.”

Campbell said the driver suffered moderate injuries and was helped from the vehicle.

However, the 30-year-old man was fatally injured and showed no signs of life.

He was declared dead on the scene.

“The two moderately injured patients were treated and transported to Mediclinic Highveld for further care.”
