Social media influencer discovers Secunda area

Bryan Haggerty, a video blogger (vlogger) from Mauritius, has been exploring Secunda and the surrounding towns for the past month while sorting out his visa.
During this time, he is also visiting his brother in Kinross, Ian Haggerty.
This 51-year-old has accumulated a large online following with his vlog, Bryan discovers world.
At home, he is considered a celebrity and everyone on the island knows his name.

The vlogging began in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic when Mauritius was in a grip of total lockdown enforced by the military.
Haggerty and his wife, Riki, began with Tik Tok videos on various dishes they had prepared at home.
The reaction to these videos was huge and is blooming even more after the lockdown.
More and more followers enjoy watching this enthusiastic middle-aged guy keeping it real and by just enjoying food at various restaurants and spending time with people.
“I am a food guide, not a critic. All food is good. I visit various restaurants and emphasize the things that make them great.”
Haggerty’s online influence has reached a stage where he is making a living off vlogging.
He has already visited several places in the Secunda area.
