The children’s play area consists of swings, slides and a jungle gym that was also purchased by Graceland.

Carpets were placed in rooms which had concrete floors.

Brightly coloured curtains were also put up on all windows, some doors were replaced and some were repaired.

All the children received a beanie to keep them warm as well as snacks.

Food items such as rice, fruit and vegetables were also donated to Imphumelelo from Veggie King Trichardt.

Imphumelelo provides daily nutritional meals for all the children.

“We had so much fun on the day and we were glad to see the children and teachers being enthusiastic about their brightly colored rooms and an outdoor play area. It will only enhance the learning.

“We know they appreciate it and we will definitely be doing more work here,” said Pieter de Villiers, general manager for Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club.
