Secunda Mall hosts first half marathon

SECUNDA – Secunda Mall, together with the Sasol Marathon Club, hosted the first half marathon on Saturday, October 22 in celebration of the mall’s ninth birthday.

Papo Lesetja was the winner of the 21km race while Derrick Masangu finished second, Musawenkosi Mnisi third, Lebohang Matima fourth and Thembile Gusawa fifth.

Chrizel Roberts finished ninth overall and was the first woman to cross the finish line.

In the 10km race, Kathleho Khanye was the winner while Tsiamo Lephoto finished second, Sphiwe Lethunya third, Sfsosethu Twala fourth and Vusumizi Nkwanyane fifth.

Sharon Klein was the first woman in the 10km race and she finished 18th overall.

The mall management team thanked all their sponsors and everyone who supported the marathon.
