The toddlers from Lappieland Educational Centre in Delmas were excited about their very first sports day.
The youngsters, parents, grannies and granddads gathered at Laerskool Delmas’ sports fields on Saturday, October 29.
A pastor opened the event and then the toddlers entertained the parents with some joyful singing and dancing. Thereafter it was time for the items to begin.
“At Lappieland Educational Centre we always strive to foster pure happiness in our children,” said Magriet Taite, principal.
“We hosted our first sports day ever. We wanted to spoil the kids by giving them the freedom to experience something new, ” she said.
“It was truly a success. We want to thank the parents, teachers and assistants for their support and hard work, and to Pastor Bishop for the beautiful prayer to start off the day.”
