54 participants enjoy the parkrun at Standerton River Park

Siyabonga Kamhelo reached the finish line in a time of 16:51, followed by Sifiso Siphamandla in 17:52.

Altogether 54 participants were out of the blocks on Saturday, December 10 at 08:00 for a slightly altered parkrun route.

Seven athletes improved their times and four people joined for the first time. Siyabonga Kamhelo reached the finish line in a time of 16:51, followed by Sifiso Siphamandla in 17:52.

Theo Schönfeldt clocked in at 26:37, while Deon Steynberg registered 28:49.

Jasper Minnaar completed the 5km in 29:03, a new personal best, Daleney Grobbelaar ran in a time of 32:32, also a new personal best.

Pieter Grobbelaar followed in 32;35, while Anton Hall managed 32:39. Dina Oberholzer’s time was 33:20 and those of Estelle Els 33:52, a new personal best.

Preyanka Dorasamy, Renette de Sousa, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Sylvy Moodley, Zeldine Strydom, Charl van Wyk, Frans Vermaak, Johannes Vosloo, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Jean Robertson and Marjorie Uys saw to a smooth event.

This is a free event and anybody is welcome to join the Saturday activities at Standerton River Park.
