Firefighters extinguished the flames in a bakkie that caught fire at around 6:00 this morning, June 30.

The incident happened on the gravel road between Secunda Crushers and Trichardtsfontein Dam.

It is reported that the driver of the bakkie noticed smoke coming from his dashboard.

He managed to exit his vehicle before it went up in flames. He escaped with no injuries.

The cause of the fire is yet unknown.
