Kinross residents are concerned about manhole
Muniucipal official visits site but leaves without fixing manhole.
People are upset after workers of Govan Mbeki Municipality recently left a mess right in front of a local school.
According to Bruno Kakora, the manhole was left open after a municipal truck allegedly bumped against a pole next to it.
“It is in front of the Sasolia Primary School and the kids walk and play there. What if one of them falls in and hurt themselves?” asked Kakora.
He and the principal contacted the municipality to report it and an official visited the site but left again without doing anything about the situation.
The Ridge Times also asked the spokesmen of Govan Mbeki Municipality for comment on this issue, but did not receive a reply by the time of going to print.
