Standerton Police warn public that statements are under oath

“Statements or declarations are under oath,” the police said.

The Standerton SAPS issued an urgent notice to the public that the SAPS will open perjury cases when people report false cases.

They gave an example of a hijacking on the R456 in Meyerville.

When police investigated, they learnt it was false.

“Remember, statements or declarations are made under oath,” the police said.
