WATCH: Motorist takes off with unpaid fuel in Standerton

The Volksrust SAPS and Kasselman Security Services apprehended two suspects who took off without paying for services at a local petrol station.

A petrol attendant was left stunned when a white Toyota Condor made away with R1 000 worth of fuel on July 8.

The vehicle without registration number plates pulled into the BP filling station at about 16:51. According to staff at BP, the petrol attendant had a strange feeling about the vehicle from the get-go.

The suspects asked the attendant for motor oil, and he deliberately left the nozzle in the vehicle to prevent it from moving.

However, this did not stop the suspects from driving off without paying.

Kasselman Security Services set out after the vehicle and relentlessly searched the area between Volksrust and Perdekop with the help of the Volksrust SAPS.

They spotted the vehicle and the police arrested two suspects. Visit the Standerton Advertiser’s Facebook page for a video of the incident.
