Athletes enjoy Secunda Parkrun
The Secunda parkrun takes place every Saturday at 08:00 from the green strip area next to the Sasol Recreational Club and Kruik Gemeente.
The parkrunners walked, jogged or ran to healthier and fitter lives at the Secunda parkrun # 415 on July 27 and # 416 on August 3.
The event on July 27 attracted 155 parkrunners.
These parkrunners improved their personal best (PB) times: Mthokozisi Sibanyoni (22:18), Adri Jacobs (24:34), Brussow Francke (24:42), Werner de la Guerre (25:57), Louis van Wyk (26:15), Ismari Lester (26:21), Riaan Weideman (27:13), Johan Viljoen (27:52), Hugh-Jean Nel (28:19), Rodney Kitchenbrand (28:24), Mykayla Lumley (29:06), Huda Adams (35:17), Iris Koen (37:23), Madeleine Viljoen (39:11), Mariaan Vermaak (41:19), Thobile Ntuli (41:28), Tracy Semple (48:03), Leanda Crafford (50:19), Christiaan van Niekerk (51:08), Lynette Erasmus (53:32), Carin du Plooy (53:33), Beryl Gail Coles (54:06), Hannalie Coetzee (56:04) and Riaan Coetzee (56:05).
The first three women to finish were Jacobs, Lester and Carin Botha.
Lucas Ntando, Pula Kheitsane and Johan Smith were the first three men to finish.
First-time parkrunners Ntando, Kheitsane, Sguda Sibande, Kyla Lottering, Nokwanda Msomi, Pieter van Niekerk, Alric Coles, Mahlape Mhlambe, and Marlon Cloete were welcomed to the parkrun Secunda family.
Siwan le Roux completed his 100th parkrun and joined the Black Milestone Club. Bryan Cordes completed his 50th parkrun and joined the Red Milestone Club.
Johanna van Tonder (79) was the oldest parkrunner among the women and completed her 219th parkrun.
Willem Human (77) was the oldest parkrunner among the men and completed his 196th parkrun.

The parkrun on August 3 had Quintin van Meyeren as the first man to cross the finish line while Coenraad Meyer finished second and André Pretorius third.
Kayla Bezuidenhout was the first woman to cross the finish line while Izanie Ferguson finished second and Sarah-Ann Francke third.
Huda Adams completed her 50th parkrun and joined the red milestone club and Lous le Roux was the athlete with the most completed parkruns with 345 parkruns under his belt.
Johanna van Tonder (79) was the oldest parkrunner and she completed her 220th parkrun and Willem Human (77) was the oldest parkrunner among the men and he completed his 197th parkrun.
