Your tops and tags can make a difference for Bronkhorstspruit

Tops and bread tags can be donated at the Bronkieshoop Donation Station during the Bronkies Boeremark.

Bronkieshoop tells the story of ‘Topsy and Tags’, two unlikely heroes who met at a dumpsite and decided to change the world.

“They are on a heartfelt journey to teach everyone how to be a sweetheart while simultaneously saving the planet,” said JB Bekker, DA Ward councillor.

According to Bekker, Bronkieshoop has an extraordinary mission to share, and they need the enthusiasm and creativity of the community.

“With the money earned through the ‘topsy and tags’ project, they could buy seven wheelchairs. This makes a big difference in the Bronkhorstspruit area.”

Bekker also told Streeknuus the wheelchairs remain the property of Bronkieshoop, allowing them to assist more families without a time constraint.

“Thank you to Bronkies Fietswinkel, who maintains these wheelchairs at no cost.”

Bekker encourages the community to continue collecting and donating their tops and bread tags.

Residents can drop their bottle caps and bread tags at the Bronkieshoop Donation Station during the monthly Bronkies Boeremark.

“Help Bronkieshoop to spread the love. Together, we can make a difference – one top and tag at a time,” Bekker concluded.
