JSD students receive national colours at the DTMA national competition

JSD elite squad students will compete on the MSC Cruise in the Galaxy of Ocean International Championships happening in February 2025.

Julie-Ann’s School of Dance (JSD) students competed in the Dance, Talent and Models Association (DTMA) South Africa Nationals competition held at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg from September 12 to 15.

Students did well in their divisions and obtained their DTMA SA National colours.

The overall national winners were JSD’s Aarya Fourie (petite hip-hop), Milandri Meyers (junior hip-hop), Donna Scott (senior modern), Milandri Meyers (junior disco), Carla van der Merwe (senior disco), Hailey van den Berg (senior disco), Thoa-nique Nortje (petite freestyle), Tiffiny van der Merwe (junior freestyle), Kiarah Fourie (junior freestyle), Donna Scott (senior freestyle) and Ilze-Mari Homan (senior freestyle).

Special awards were given to Mienke Blaauw for A Star in the Makings, Payton Pretorius for Stage Presence, Zuandri Joubert for Miss Congeniality and Milandri Meyers for All That Jazz.

DTMA National Colours were awarded to Lana Te Water, Ilze-Mari Homan, Ilze-Mari Homan and Hailey van den Berg Duet, Zoe Peacock, Carla van der Merwe, Payton Pretorius, Kayla Engels, Jessica McCamlie, Milandri Meyers, Mienke Blaauw and Donna Scott.

Elite squad Ilze-Mari Homan, Milandri Meyers, Lana Te Water, Cornelia Pretorius, Mia Grobler, Mia Peens and Kiarah Fourie have qualified and will represent South Africa on the MSC Cruise for the Galaxy of Ocean International Championships happening in February 2025.
