Standerton community mourns with KSS over death of two officers
Khulelani Maseko died on October 7 and Morné van Niekerk on October 12.
Kasselman Security Services (KSS) has suffered great losses in recent weeks, after the passing of two of their officers.
Khulelani Maseko died on October 7 after a long battle with his health. His memorial service was held at Mahala Park on October 12, the same day another committed KSS employee, Morné van Niekerk, died.
Van Niekerk died at his home. The police do not suspect foul play. Maseko was known for his commitment and great contributions to the KSS team.
His presence in the KSS family is greatly missed by colleagues. Community members expressed great sadness over his passing, commending and saluting him for his efforts in the community.

Van Niekerk was a dedicated guardian of Standerton. His commitment to protecting our community will not be forgotten. Though his death was tragic, colleagues and community members alike remember him fondly.
As comments flooded in offering condolences to his family and colleagues, the story of Van Niekerk could clearly be seen.
Always at his post and always eager to help, Van Niekerk touched many lives in community.
He displayed respect and a true passion for his calling.
“It is hard to say goodbye to someone you have worked with for decades. We were more than just colleagues, we were family,” expressed André Kasselman of KSS.
