A suspect was arrested in eMzinoni for drug possession on October 23 after a tip-off to the police.

The eMzinoni police spokesperson, Sergeant Cynthia Mtsweni, said the police, including the Secunda K9 unit, acted on the information received and the suspect was found in possession of 74 mandrax tablets and three sachets of nyaope.

The street value of the drugs is about R50 000 and the suspect was arrested for possession of drugs.

Mtsweni said the suspect will appear before the Bethal Magistrate court as soon as the investigation continues.
