Ernst Rachmann has been found deceased this afternoon.

The family has not yet disclose anymore information.

Day two of a formal search by the police K9 unit continues for Rachmann, from Leandra, who was last heard from on October 26.

Speaking on behalf of Rachmann’s family, Ds Christo Jooste, confirmed with the Ridge Times that the search is still on and that the police K9 unit, police on quads and police on horses are actively searching the area.

According to the information received, the family tried to contact Rachmann for his birthday, but he did not answer his phone.

His farmhouse was found to be opened, with his vehicle, cellphone and wallet with bank cards still at the premises. The signs indicate that only Rachmann and his firearm are missing.

Rachmann is about 1.70 meters tall and weighs between 75kg and 85kg.

He has brown hair and light green eyes.

It is unknown what he was wearing on the day he went missing. No other distinguishing features were provided.
