George Hofmeyr learners achieve greatness

George Hofmeyr learners were delighted to receive well earned merits for their hard work.

George Hofmeyr School held their annual prize-giving night on October 17, where they celebrated the incredible achievements of their learners.

The school also announced their new leaders for next year. Nikitta Dlavana was appointed as headgirl, with Anitta Dlavana filling the role of deputy headgirl.

Other leaders include Petra Grobler, Azamahle Nkosi, Agnes Mantjiu and Precious Mashabane.

During the prizegiving, Rose Kubeka received a prestige individual award for Dux learner FET, as well as most goal-orientated learner.

Amanda Lourens received the honour of being named Dux Learner TO. Enili van der Merwe received an award for 100% school attendance for 12 years.

Siphesihle Ndebele and Fikil Mashini received awards as the most versatile learners. Karla Strydom received a certificate for being the most goal-oriented learner.

Many learners received honorary colours for academic and sports achievements.
