eMbalenhle residents learn about restorative justice

The Department of Social Development, in conjunction with community organisations held a social crime prevention blitz campaign at the eMbalenhle Mall on October 30.

Representatives educated the community about services and social crime prevention programmes offered by the department and various stakeholders.

Residents were also informed about the services offered by Ethokomala Children Youth Care Centre in Kinross.

Elder Mahlangu, a social worker, said Ethokomala offers diversion programmes for sentenced children or those who are in conflict with the law.
