Delmas First hopes for a bright year ahead
“Delmas is not just a place on a map anymore; it is a thriving community filled with compassion, creativity, and collaboration.”
Delmas First co-ordinator Thabo Motau shared his good wishes for the residents of Delmas.
“May 2025 bring each of you joy, health and fulfilment. Let us embark on this new chapter with hope in our hearts and the determination to see our beloved Delmas flourish,” said Motau.
“Let us stand united, determined to make this year our best yet, as we work hand in hand toward a brighter future for all.”
Motau further said that Delmas is a town rich in spirit, resilience, and camaraderie.
According to Motau, it has been inspiring to witness the remarkable strength and unity of the community, as individuals and organisations have come together, driven by a shared vision of a better Delmas.
Delmas First also extended their deepest gratitude to the countless volunteers and organisations that have selflessly contributed their time, resources and energy for the betterment of Delmas.

“Whether it was through community clean-ups, tree planting, educational initiatives, supporting local families in need or fostering vital programmes for our youth, men, women and the elderly, the communities’ dedication has made a tangible difference in the lives of so many.
“Delmas is not just a place on a map anymore; it is a thriving community filled with compassion, creativity, and collaboration. The efforts have nurtured a culture of hope that inspires us all to dream bigger and work harder.
“As we, as Delmas First, move into 2025, let us carry forward this spirit of partnership and service, continuing to uplift one another and laying the foundation for a brighter future together.”
Motau urges all to cultivate hope and possibilities in their own lives and to harness creativity, participate in community projects, and invest in the potential of others.
Motau added that during 2025, Delmas First would aim to foster even more opportunities for growth, connection and support.
“Let us invest in our community, ensuring that every resident feels valued and empowered. Together we can create initiatives that spark change, promote inclusivity and provide avenues for every individual in Delmas to thrive.
“As we celebrate the New Year, let us embrace the power of unity and commitment. Each one of us has a role to play in shaping the future of Delmas and together we can make a lasting impact,” Motau added.
“Let us be advocates for one another, champions of kindness and builders of a community that works for the benefit of all.”
Motau continued by highlighting Delmas First’s goals for 2025:
Let Delmas be a marvel for the world to see, showcasing innovations and sustainable practices. A Delmas where no one goes to bed without food and where every household has an income contributing to our thriving economic ecosystem.
A Delmas where the children harness the potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to become inventors of much-needed tools and technologies for a global market.
A Delmas where citizens treat one another with respect, regardless of their backgrounds, where no one feels superior, or inferior and everyone stands together as equals.
A Delmas where we harness collective buying power and where we use our collective economic strength to uplift local businesses and our community. A Delmas where the traditional leadership and places of worship such as churches, mosques and temples take a central role in societal development and progress.
