Jandrell Secondary School boast a 95% pass rate
Executive Mayor, Clr Sifiso Mngemezulu visited the school to reward learners for their hard work and dedication in the previous school year.
Executive Mayor Sifiso Mngemezulu recently visited Jandrell Secondary School with Busisiswe Sekhonde, speaker of the Gert Sibande District Municipality and Clr Piet Radebe.
The purpose of this visit was to meet with the SGB and school management team as part of the back-to-school programme.
The school’s state of readiness for the 2025 school year was assessed. The group of councillors encouraged the school to keep up their high standards and strive for excellence.
Jandrell Secondary School boasts a 95% matric pass rate for the Class of 2024.

To recognise this great achievement, 20 pairs of school shoes were donated to learners, to ease the financial burden on families in the new school year.
“The success we are witnessing here today is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the learners and educators at Jandrell Secondary School,” said Mngemezulu.
The mayor expressed great pride at the school’s pass rate achievement and committed to supporting our local schools to give learners their best possible chance at succeeding.
“We encourage both the school leadership and learners to aim even higher in the coming years,” concluded Mngemezulu.
