SHS hosts inter high
SHS’s sing-song directors received a bronze medal for best director team and led the school to an overall second place in the race for the spirit cup.
Standerton High School was the host of this this year’s inter high athletics meet on their schoolgrounds. They welcomed six other schools to compete against their best and brightest athletes.
The visiting schools were Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog, Hoërskool Hoogenhout, Hoërskool Volksrust, Hoërskool Piet Retief, Hoërskool Pionier and Hoërskool Secunda.
Though the main focus were the athletic talents on display, excited shouts from learners battling for the spirit cup could be heard from blocks away.
