Youth choirs gather to thrill and excite in Standerton
The choirs who delighted the audience with songs and traditional dances included the Secret Ingredients Choir, Kasi Talented Group, Amavikela Mbuso Girls Cultural Group, Our Treasures Youth Choir and the Golden Voice Youth Choir.
Our Treasures Youth Choir hosted a youth event at Rooikoppen Hall on March 22 to celebrate Human Rights Day.
The choirs opened the event with a harmonic performance. The event aimed to encourage the youth present to abstain from drug abuse.
The stakeholders included Team Ngenelela led by Piello Mlotshwa, Ext 8 Clr Seipati Modise, Nokuthula Lephoto secretary of the Youth League and gospel singer Hajirah Chiwulu.

Modise commended the performers for their dedication to living better lives. Mlotshwa of Team Ngenelela delivered a speech explaining the challenges of peer pressure.
“There is no future without our youth,” said Mlotshwa.
He further encouraged the learners to abstain from drugs and continue with activities that promote positive growth.
