The new Mitsubishi Triton builds on the nameplate’s history of toughness, reliability, and adventure.

Now in its sixth generation, the manufacturer redesigned Triton while evolving to meet the needs of the modern-day bakkie owner.

Based on the Beast mode design concept, the frontal design incorporates the dynamic shield, accentuated by a three-dimensional front grille, fenders and bumpers that emphasise its form.

The daytime running lights feature three L-shaped LED lights which, with the three-dimensional triple headlights below them, ensure a commanding presence.

The interior, designed for comfort, has advanced technology and a thoughtfully crafted space.

An eight-inch infotainment system is at eye level and features smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Ahead of the driver is a seven-inch multi-information display. An interior 50mm wider than before, along with segment-leading front seat adjustment, ensures one of the roomiest bakkie cabins on the market.

Under the bonnet, there is a new 2.4l engine that boasts 135kW and 430Nm and is paired to either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission.

GL models have a 2.4l DI-DC engine that offers 81kW at 4000rpm and 200Nm alongside a five-speed manual transmission.

The Mitsubishi Triton has always been renowned for its off-road ability and key to this is the brand’s proprietary Super Select 4WD system, which provides outstanding all-terrain performance.

Drivers can choose from four different modes to match the various road conditions.

The most extensive model range
The Triton has the most extensive model range, including 11 derivatives across 4×2 and 4×4 options, commercial-focused variants and premium lifestyle editions, and three special editions specifically for South African customers.

The Triton Athlete combines capability, aesthetics and robust performance.

The Triton Edition 46 was designed for over-landing enthusiasts and hardcore adventurers, while the Triton Xtreme Edition is designed for weekend warriors looking for a bakkie that offers bold, rugged styling and versatile performance.

A class-leading warranty and service plan come standard
As part of Mitsubishi’s commitment to quality and reliability, they are setting a new benchmark in the industry with their Diamond Advantage Warranty, which includes a five-year/unlimited mileage, unrestricted warranty and a five-year/90 000km service plan.

Pricing starts at R639 990.
