The new station commander is Lieutenant Colonel Bhekithemba Vilakazi.

The Leandra Police Station is under new management.

The team comprises station commander Lieutenant Colonel Bhekithemba Vilakazi, Vispol commander Captain Antonie Prinsloo, detectives branch commander Captain Vusi Mabena, and support head Captain Jeremiah Molefe.

According to the Leandra police spokesperson, Constable Nontobeko Ngubeni, the community is unaware of the new management.

Ngubeni said the station has introduced a Know Your Cop campaign which promotes the relationship between the community and the police.

The new station commander began on April 1, while other team members started in their new positions last November.

The community is encouraged to report crime-related issues or if they are not satisfied with the station service that they received. Vilakazi may be contacted on 071 600 4112, Prinsloo on 082 923 0372 and Mabena on 071 498 6523.
