Dra Mekaar members get together at monthly meeting
The next Dra Mekaar meeting will be on May 7 at Bossa, in celebration of Mother's Day.
Dra Mekaar members gathered for its monthly meeting at the NG Kerk Goedehoop Gemeente on April 23. Minister Diederich Kleynhans opened the morning with scripture reading and prayer.
Guest speaker Burnadette Nagel of Avbob spoke to members about its comprehensive funeral cover options, including cash payouts and valuable funeral benefits.
Tenor Chris Coetzer was the guest performer, who sang some good oldies Dankie, The Young Ones, Silver Thread and Golden Needles, You Raise Me Up and more.
Members enjoyed the morning’s entertainment, singing and clapping along.
The tin project is still ongoing. So far, 207 tins of non-perishable foods have been collected. The target is to collect 400 tins by August.
Members must also remember that August is the cut-off month for those interested in the annual holiday to De Voetpadkloof in October.
