Delmas Animal Shelter in need of blankets
As temperatures drop, the Delmas Animal Shelter calls on the community to help keep its animals warm. Donate a blanket, adopt a dog, or simply spread the word.
It’s winter, and the Delmas Animal Shelter (DAS) is running its annual blanket drive.
“While most of us are cuddled up in front of fires and under blankets, thousands of animals are dying from exposure,” said mother-and-daughter team Jolandie and Jorinda Verwey.
“Please help us with any blankets, towels, dog beds or old horse jackets so we can keep the various animals in our care warm this winter.”
The DAS also has several adorable dogs up for adoption.
“There are many to choose from – a perfect addition to any household.”
If you can’t adopt, share and help the DAS find these dogs their forever, loving homes. For more information, call Jorinda at 076 808 6684. If there’s no answer, send a WhatsApp message.
