Delmas Animal Shelter need assistance to help those who cannot talk

“Every act of kindness counts, and together we can provide the care and love these animals deserve.”

The Delmas Animal Shelter (DAS) is in desperate need of the public’s support.

“We are reaching out to our compassionate community to help us care for our furry friends,” said co-owner Jorinda Verwey.

Mother and daughter team, Jolandie and Jorinda Verwey, told Streeknews that food donations are high on the priority list.

“We urgently need dog and cat food in order to feed our shelter animals. Every bit helps, and your donation will ensure no animal goes hungry.”

With winter in full swing, DAS also needs to keep the animals warm, so there is a need for blankets.

“We have so many animals waiting for their forever homes; please consider adopting a pet from our shelter.”

“Financial support is crucial for covering medical expenses, shelter maintenance and daily care for our animals. Any contribution will make a significant impact.”

Jolandie and Jorinda also told Streeknews that volunteers are more than welcome at the shelter.

“Your time and effort can make a world of difference in their lives. Every act of kindness counts, and together we can provide the care and love these animals deserve,” the mother and daughter duo concluded.
