Karatekas need your sponsorship to compete in Nigeria

The two are scheduled to depart on July 21 and return on July 27.

Sensei Breshnev Dhlamini (33) and Lwandle Shabalala (15) have been selected to represent South Africa at the upcoming Union of Federations African Karate (UFAK) Championship in Nigeria from July 25 to July 27.

The UFAK Championships will feature the best karate talent from across Africa competing for top honours. The Universal Shotokan Karate Union (USKU) is proud to see its students, Dhlamini and Shabalala, among those chosen to compete at this high level.

Dhlamini earned his spot in the Kumite over 84kg senior men’s division and the senior men’s Kumite team, while Shabalala qualified for the boys’ under 63kg Cadet (ages 14 to 15) division.

Sponsorship is urgently needed, as it will cost approximately R50,000 each to cover flights, accommodation, visas, tournament fees, food and travel insurance.

The two are scheduled to depart on July 21 and return on July 27. Any sponsorship or donations towards their costs are welcome. For more information, contact Dhlamini on 083 741 2441.
