Athletes still take part in Secunda parkrun despite cold

Newcomers are welcome to join Secunda parkrun every Saturday.

The cold and frost did not stop 169 athletes lining up for the Secunda parkrun. Colin Louw was the first runner to cross the finish line in a time of 18 min and 57 sec.

Pienaar Janse van Rensburg finished second, Reuel Jefferies fourth, Pierru Meyer fifth, Rikus le Roux sixth, Dirk van den Heever seventh, Rex Jefferies eighth, and Ewan Weideman 10th.

Heinrich Amsterdam completed his 100th parkrun.

The parkrun takes place every Saturday at 08:00 and anybody is welcome to join this event. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
