Mandela Day will be celebrated on July 18, and the Delmas Animal Shelter mother and daughter team, Jolandie and Jorinda Verwey, are appealing to the public to spend the day with them.
“Visit us on Mandela Day. Bring something along and share your love and time with our furry kids,” said Jorinda.
“We always welcome dry and wet food for our animals, animal toys, and with a cold winter upon us, we desperately need blankets as well.”
