Juniors aim for top spots in Action Sports Autumn League finals in Secunda
Teams can enter the Action Sports Junior Winter League for hockey, cricket, netball and soccer.
Young children recently competed in the Action Sports Juniors Tournament as part of the Autumn League netball, hockey and cricket finals.
Netball results:
• The grades Two to Three (one) category: Standerton’s High Hoops beat Lilo and Stitch 11-4.
• In the kids’ grade Two to Three (two) category: Standerton’s Buzzy Bees beat Frangipani 17-4.
• Standerton’s Cool Cats lost 2-17 to Bosbokkies.
• Tiny Tornados beat Blitse Bytjies 6-3.
• Action Poppy’s beat SibaBombers 25-0.
• PowerPuf Girls beat Neon Leopards 18-1.
• Hula Hoops beat Supergirls 8-3.
• Avo-Cardio beat Pink Lilies 25-3.
• Mini Avo’s lost 1-6 to Fairy Boltz.
• In the grades Four to Five (one) category: Daddy’s Daisies tied 14-14 with the Azaleas. The latter won in a sudden-death round.
• Tric-hart beat Goedes 12-8.
• Fruit Hoop Juniors beat Standerton’s Court Queens 12-10.
• Fireballs Netball lost 17-32 to Standerton’s Shooting Stars.
• In the grades Four to Five (2) category: Cherry Bombs lost 12-14 to Fantasties.
• Flower Power lost 15-22 to Shooting Stars Secunda Juniors
• Standerton’s Mighty Elfies beat Supernova 17-14.
• Quick Shots beat Chasing Rainbows 20-11.
• In the netball grades Six to Seven (one) category: Standerton’s Super Stars beat Netball Nuts 22-11.
• Footloose lost 25-28 to Magnolias.
• In the netball grades Six to Seven (two) category: Standerton’s Chasing Rainbows beat Legends 31-1.
• Standerton’s Fireflies beat Golden Fury 21-8.
Hockey results:
• In the grades R to three: Stallions mixed beat Lightning Stars mixed 3-2.
• Tie Dye’s mixed lost 1-2 to Baby Lightning Stars boys.
• Guns ‘N Roses mixed beat Tie Dye’s mixed 0-5.
• Shooting Squad girls tied 2-2 against Hooligans Hockey girls. In a penalty shootout, Shooting Squad won.
• In the grades four to seven category, Badgers beat Stick Magnets 3-2.
• Flying Sticks and Rapid Rascals tied 2-2.
• Spartans (boys) beat Whitty Wolves (mixed) 9-0.
• The Dribblers (boys) tied 1-1 with Baby Spartans (boys).
• The Avengers lost 0-5 to The Dribblers.
• Geckos won 5-0 against Hokkie Wolwe.
• Stick Swingers lost 4-5 to Mustangs.
Cricket results:
• Chameleons beat the Tarantulas with a total of 124.
• Raging Bulls scored a total of 81, beating Wildehonde SNR.
• Wildehonde JNR beat Ratels with a total of 129.
• Artic Bears won against Blitzies with a score of 116.
• Sunrisers beat Venomous Vipers with a total of 114.
