64 join parkrun fun in Standerton
Three runners celebrated personal milestones by setting new personal bests.
This weekend’s Standerton Riverpark parkrun took place on July 19, attracting 63 enthusiastic participants.
Three runners celebrated personal milestones by setting new personal bests:
Nokuthula Malinga – 45:04; Johan Delport – 28:53; Vusumuzi Radebe – 30:36; Bongane Mpokane was the first to cross the finish line in an impressive time of 17:50. He was followed by: Pieter Jansen van Vuuren – 21:23; Timothy Hoop – 24:10; Elihle Zikalala – 24:55; Pieter Ignatius Jansen van Vuuren – 26:02; Zakariyya Chothia – 27:37; Ayanda Dlamini – 28:29.
The event would not be possible without the dedication of its volunteers. This week’s team included: Charl van Wyk, Conrie Roets, Daniel Wright, Jennifer Naidoo, Johannes Vosloo, Krishnalal Ramdharee, Leandri van Wyk, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lydia Roets, Noluthando Zweni, Parth Jayram, Priscilla Ramdharee, Renette de Sousa, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Strini Naidoo, Susan Laufs, Willy Smith and Zeldine Strydom.
The Standerton Riverpark parkrun is held every Saturday at 08:00 in the Riverpark. All are welcome to join, whether you’re walking, jogging, running or volunteering.
