Standerton parkrun draws 50+ participants

Zander van der Linde, Andile Appreciate Sauhatsi and Nokuthula Malinga improved their personal times.

More than 50 people completed the 308th Standerton parkrun at the riverpark on Saturday.

Zander van der Linde (28:20), Andile Appreciate Sauhatsi (38:29), and Nokuthula Malinga (44:15) improved their times, while Cheryl June Kotze participated for the first time.

Lehlohonolo Nyombane (21:24) was the first registered parkrunner to complete the 5km route. Pieter Jansen van Vuuren (21:27), Eugene Viljoen (25:55), Janke Draper (26:48), and Petra Louw (28:16) followed him.

Volunteers who made the event possible included Renette de Sousa, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Jennifer Naidoo, Strini Naidoo, and Theo Schönfeldt. Also assisting were Zeldine Strydom, Marjorie Uys, Leandri van Wyk, Elmien Vermaak, Johannes Vosloo, Daniel Wright, and Noluthando Zweni.
