The atmosphere was electric at Secunda’s Action Sports on July 26, as teams battled for top honours in the men’s A and B autumn league finals.
In the men’s A-League, Class on Grass took first place with a commanding 104-65 win over Eagles. Eagles claimed second place and silver medals. MegChem secured third place, beating Crusaders Cricket 85-61 to take home the bronze.
In the B-League, Dragons dominated with a 177-56 victory over Comedians, who finished second. Curry Munchers claimed third place by defeating Knights 2.0 with a score of 91-62.
The senior men’s and women’s winter cricket league is set to begin on August 11 and run until November 8. Teams interested in entering can contact Mariska Lubbe at 082 851 1797 or Lelanie van der Merwe at 060 616 2834.
