Nine parkrunners beat their personal best times

12 newcomers joined the Standerton Riverpark parkrun on August 2.

The Standerton Riverpark parkrun hosted their 309th event on August 2, attracting 73 runners. Of the runners, nine recorded new personal best times and 13 were first timers.

Petra Louw (23:44), Johan Delport (27:14), Andile Sauhatsi (38:16) and Tsepo David Mokoena (38:47) all improved their personal best times.
Pieter Jansen van Vuuren was the first known finisher with a time of 22:37.

He was followed by Lenon Rukodzi (24:35), Eugene Viljoen (25:01), Parth Jayram (26:36), Pieter Grobbelaar (27:02) and Theo Schönveldt (28:38).

There were 12 volunteers who made this event possible. They were Conrie Roets, Daniel Wright, Johannes Vosloo, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lydia Roets, Michael Cerfontein, Patricia Cerfontein, Renette de Sousa, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Susan Laufs, Willy Smith and Zeldine Strydom.

Parkrun takes place every Saturday in the Standerton Riverpark at 08:00.
