Athletes run for top spots in the Evander Half Marathon

Mnisi timed 01:06:41 in the 21km run in the men's category while Pretorius finished with a time of 01:13:23, taking first place in the women’s category.

Athletes competed in the Evander Half Marathon held on August 2. The half-marathon consisted of a 10km run, a 21km run, and a 5km fun run.

The first man to finish the 21km in a time of 01:06:41 was Musawenkosi Mnisi. In second place was Mpho Mokoena with a time of 01:07:17.
Never Mahlangu finished third with a time of 01:11:41.

Juanell Pretorius finished first in the women’s category with a time of 01:13:23. Zamokuhle Maluleke came in second place at 01:19:31.
Petuwa Magolefe finished third with a time of 01:29:34

In the 10km men’s, Ayabonga Mavuso was first with a time of 32:28. In second place was Tshiamo Lephoto, finishing in 33:14.

Sfiso Twala was third with a time of 34:47. Lebohang Makhalemee took first place in the women’s category with a time of 34:49.

Second place Michelle Parkes followed her with a time of 42:04. Finishing in third place at 47:34 was Makoma Batji.
