Motorists are warned to avoid N12 between Delmas and Red Star Raceway, direction Witbank, in the aftermath of a serious accident involving a coal truck and a truck with farm workers.

Information provided thus far, indicates that six people have died in the accident this morning at around 07:00. A seventh person died en-route to hospital. Numerous people have also been injured.

Emergency services are on scene.

Traffic on the N12 is seriously affected. Motorists are advised to make use of the alternative R555 route.
