Teams vie for dominance in Sasol soccer league

Sasol adopted this social league some years ago in which different teams, including schools, compete.

Several U15 and U13 soccer teams battled it out at the Sasol Recreation Club in Secunda on August 9 as part of the Sasol Soccer League.

Among the matches that caught the attention of the spectators was the U15 clash between the eMbalenhle Home Boys and the Secunda Stars.

The Home Boys won 3-0.

Sasol adopted this social league some years ago in which different teams, including schools, compete. Teams need to defend their trophies for three years and if they become champions for those years, they will keep that trophy for good.

Sasol, working together with the local branch of the South African Football Association, mobilised more clubs to participate in this league after they realised that there is more talent out there to allow everyone to showcase their talents and to make sure that resources are available in all of its recreation facilities.
