Lizette Jansen van Rensburg was the star of the 315th Riverpark parkrun on September 14 when she celebrated her 250th parkrun as a volunteer.
The event saw three runners achieve personal best times. Puseletso Dladla finished in 29:52, Juandre du Plessis in 30:31, and Nadine Hoop in 36:48, all improving on their previous records.
Bongane Mpokane was the first to cross the 5km finish line in 18:01, closely followed by Kaywen Human in 19:08. Eugene Viljoen completed the course in 25:14, with Zander van der Linde (27:41), Petra Louw (27:42), Ayanda Dlamini (28:08), and Pieter Grobbelaar (28:11) rounding out the top finishers.
The parkrun could not have taken place without its dedicated volunteers. Renette de Sousa, Preyanka Dorasamy, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Danie Laufs, Susan Laufs, Sylvy Moodley, Jennifer Naidoo, Strini Naidoo, Lydia Roets, Willy Smith, Pieter Swart, Johannes Vosloo, and Daniel Wright contributed to making the event a success.
