Emergency services respond to two separate accidents near Kinross and Evander

Emergency services rushed to two separate early-morning incidents on February 2, with a rollover near Unicor Dam leaving one person moderately to seriously injured and a vehicle fire on the R29 Kinross road narrowly avoided injury.

Emergency services responded to two separate accidents this morning, February 2, on the Kinross road and another near Unicor Dam towards Evander.

One person sustained moderate to serious injuries when the vehicle he was travelling in rolled on the P185 near Unicor Dam, at around 5:15.

The injured person was treated and transported to a hospital by Midfire Safety EMS.

The cause of the accident is unknown.

In the second incident that occurred on the R29 Kinross road, firefighters responded to a call at around 6:10 of a vehicle that had caught fire.

The Ford vehicle engulfed in flames was extinguished. The driver escaped unharmed. The cause of the fire is to be determined.
