Prepare for an unforgettable experience as lifesize animatronic dinosaurs take over Secunda during the Jurassic Giant Festival, following successful events in Durban, Pretoria, and Johannesburg in 2023 and 2024.

We are thrilled to introduce this grand educational exhibition to Secunda for the very first time. Families and pre primary schools from Secunda and surrounding areas are warmly invited to join us for this unique opportunity to step back into the prehistoric era while enjoying a delightful picnic with loved ones.

Recently, Dinosaur World has expanded its outdoor space, growing tenfold with exciting new attractions.

The Jurassic Giants Festival in Secunda will showcase two colossal dinosaurs: the awe-inspiring Tyrannosaurus rex (13 meters) and the Austrolotitan (20 meters), along with numerous other dinosaurs and attractions designed for maximum family enjoyment. Spanning over 10,000 square meters, the festival will feature various exhibitors, live DJs, mouthwatering food stalls, and vibrant markets from across Johannesburg, creating a lively dinosaur celebration.

The exhibition is divided into four sections, labeled A through D, allowing visitors to choose their preferred areas based on their budget.

DOOR TICKET SALE PRICES

Here are the ticket prices for door sales per person:

  1. Silver: R100
  2. Gold: R200
  3. Diamond: R300
  4. Platinum: R400

The Platinum ticket provides access to everything included in the Bronze ticket, along with all four sections A to D. Please note that these tickets do not cover rides; tickets for rides and special activities will be available for purchase at the event.

Children are defined as those aged 14 and under. Admission is free for kids under 10 months.

The Jurassic Giants Festival Bronze ticket allows access to the following common areas:

  1. Jumping castles
  2. Picnic area

iii. Market area

  1. Music DJs
  2. Food truck area

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so we recommend booking in advance to avoid any last-minute disappointments.

Here are the descriptions for sections A to D of Dinosaur World:

THE DINO EXPO (A)  

Discover an enchanting exhibition filled with medium-sized animatronic dinosaurs that spring to life with sound and movement.

JURASSIC GIANTS (B)

Enter a realm of gigantic beings with life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, including a 12-meter-long Tyrannosaurus rex and a 20-meter-long Cooperensis Australotitan, all accessed through the massive mouth of a giant T. rex.

DINOSAUR STREET THEATRE (C)

Participate in a lively 20 to 30-minute interactive performance featuring a variety of juvenile dinosaurs and puppets. Children will have the opportunity to answer dinosaur trivia questions and win exciting prizes during the show.

REPTILE SHOW (D)

Experience a 30-minute interactive educational presentation showcasing a diverse range of reptiles, including crocodiles, snakes, tortoises, and many other intriguing creatures.

Due to limited ticket availability based on venue capacity, we recommend booking in advance to ensure you don’t miss out on the last day.

The exhibition is designed with various facilities, allowing each activity to have its own ticket price. This means visitors can buy tickets tailored to the specific areas they wish to explore. For instance, a full access ticket grants entry to all exhibition sections, excluding rides and certain activities. Additionally, there are special discounted tickets available for families of four, as well as groups of eight and sixteen.
