Bethal Police and owners of liquor outlets form forum
Initiative will strengthen relationship with police.
The local police, in collaboration with liquor store outlets in Bethal, established a liquor forum on Thursday, August 4.
The aim of this forum is to fight crime within the liquor outlets and to ensure compliance with the liquor act and regulations.
The owners of the liquor store outlets decided to begin the forum after a meeting with the Mpumalanga economic regulator.
The commander of the Bethal Police Station, Lieut-Col Josias Keith Africa, thanked the owners for their positive attitude and dedication and for taking part in this initiative to strengthen their relationship with the police and to fight crime.
He encouraged them to report any form of crime or suspicious criminal activities in and outside of their liquor store outlets to the police.
